Home/Delivery & Returns

Delivery & Returns

How your order gets to you, and what happens if it is not right. Written plainly, because nobody should need a solicitor to work out whether they can send something back.

The Short Version

Four Things Worth Knowing

Free Over £50

Free tracked delivery to UK mainland on orders over £50. Below that, the cost is shown before you pay.

2 To 4 Working Days

Standard UK mainland delivery. Order before 2pm and in stock items usually go out the same day.

14 Days To Change Your Mind

Cancel any order within 14 days of delivery for any reason, then 14 more days to send it back.

30 Days If Faulty

Anything faulty, wrongly described or unfit for purpose can be rejected outright for a full refund.

Getting It To You

Delivery

We ship across the United Kingdom with a tracked service. Everything is packed properly, and fragile items get packed like they are going a long way, because they are.

Options And Costs

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Timescales are estimates from the courier, not guarantees.

What Happens After You Order

  1. Order confirmation. An email lands straight away confirming we have your order. This is a receipt, not yet an acceptance.
  2. We check it. Stock, pricing and, where relevant, whether the parts suit the vehicle you told us about.
  3. Dispatch confirmation. A second email with your tracking number. This is the point the contract starts.
  4. Delivery. Track it the whole way. The courier will contact you if they cannot get in.

Pre-order Items

Some products, particularly Brax and certain Helix models, are built in small batches in Germany and are listed as pre-order. We would rather show an honest lead time than a fake stock level.

  • Any lead time we quote is our best estimate, based on manufacturer information
  • If a date moves, we tell you as soon as we know rather than letting it pass quietly
  • Cancel any time before dispatch for a full refund, no reason needed
  • Mixed orders can ship in parts at no extra cost, just ask

If Something Goes Wrong In Transit

Risk passes to you on delivery, but we are not going to leave you to argue with a courier on your own.

Damaged or missing

If a parcel arrives damaged, or an item is missing from it, message us within 3 working days with photographs of the item and the outer packaging. We will raise it with the courier and sort a replacement or refund. Photos of the packaging matter, so please take them before it goes in the bin.

If nobody is in and the courier cannot leave the parcel safely, redelivery or collection is arranged directly with them using the details on their card or tracking page.

Parcels returned to us as undelivered are refunded less the outbound delivery cost. Please double check your address at checkout, because a single wrong digit in a postcode is the most common reason an order goes missing.

If It Is Not Right

Returns & Refunds

There are two different situations here and they have different rules. Changing your mind is one thing. Something being faulty is another, and you have stronger rights in that case.

Changed Your Mind

14 days from delivery to tell us, then 14 more days to send it back. No reason needed.

  • Unused and in original packaging
  • You pay return postage
  • Refunded within 14 days of us receiving it
Faulty Or Wrong

30 days to reject it outright for a full refund. After that, repair or replacement.

  • Packaging condition does not matter
  • We pay the return postage
  • Contact us first, some items go to the manufacturer

How To Start A Return

  1. Message us. Email info@caraudioshop.co.uk or use the contact form with your order number and what is wrong. No forms to print.
  2. We reply with instructions. Where to send it, and whether we are arranging collection. Do not send anything back before this, because some items need to go directly to the manufacturer.
  3. Send it, tracked. Until it reaches us it is still your responsibility, so please use a tracked service and keep the receipt.
  4. We refund. Within 14 days of receiving it back, to the original payment method.

What We Cannot Take Back

These are the standard exclusions under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. None of them affect your rights if an item turns out to be faulty.

  • Anything fitted or installed. Once a speaker has been in a door it cannot be resold as new. Please check the fit before you install
  • Made or configured to order. Personalised goods are excluded by the Regulations
  • Sealed items once opened, where the seal protects hygiene or licensed software
  • Business and trade purchases. The 14 day right protects consumers, not businesses
Before you fit anything

Ask us first. Send the make, model, year and trim level, plus a photo of the existing speaker or door card if you can. Fitment changes between facelifts and trim levels within the same registration year, so checking costs nothing and saves a return.

Refunds

Refunds go back to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the goods, or of you giving us proof they were sent, whichever is sooner. Depending on your bank it can take a few more days to appear on the statement.

We refund the standard delivery cost you originally paid. If you chose a faster service, we refund the standard amount rather than the upgrade.

We may reduce a refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to check the item. Inspecting something as you would in a shop is fine. Fitting it, cutting a loom or scratching a faceplate is not.

Warranty Claims

Everything we sell is genuine stock through official UK supply, so it carries the full manufacturer warranty. Because of that we can escalate a claim to the manufacturer for you rather than leaving you to chase it. Keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase.

Your statutory rights

A warranty is offered in addition to your legal rights, never instead of them. Nothing on this page reduces what you are entitled to under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Common Questions

Anything Else

If it has not shipped yet, message us straight away and we will change it. Once the dispatch email has gone out the parcel is with the courier, and changes have to go through them using the tracking link.
Only if you want it to. Tell us and we will send the in stock items straight away and the pre-order separately when it lands, at no extra delivery cost. By default we hold the order and send it complete.
Yes, as long as it is unused and within the 14 days. Message us and we will sort the exchange rather than making you return and reorder. If you tell us the vehicle we will confirm the correct size before sending the replacement.
Fitting does not remove your rights over a genuine fault. Get in touch with the order number, what it is doing and how it was wired. We will work out whether it is a fault or an installation issue, and if it is faulty we handle it under warranty.
Not at the moment. If you are outside the UK and want something specific, ask us and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
We process them as soon as the item is checked in, usually within a couple of working days rather than the full 14 we are allowed. After that it depends on your bank, typically 3 to 5 working days to show on a statement.
Not Sure Before You Order

Send us the make, model and year and we will confirm what fits before anything ships. It is the single easiest way to avoid a return, and it costs nothing.
